Baseball & BBQ

we have had a very nice and entertaining week thus far. our friends, tim and terri welcomed her son, andy, this week from sacramento. i can't fathom the complete change of scenery...
they came over tues. evening - bringing homemade ziti with italian sausage - and we were able to compete at my xbox 360 game 'scene it'. andy totally whooped me! he works for a movie rental company, therefore i believe he had leverage.
wed. evening had already been planned in advance in order for ryan to grill baby back ribs. you must understand that ryan is a master griller. i believe if he had the time and money - he would compete locally. i don't believe i've tasted better in a restaurant ever. as our only warm and sunny day this week the kids were able to enjoy being outdoors and fought incessantly when it was time to go in, wash up and eat.
hopefully we will get together tomorrow before andy leaves on sat. perhaps i need a rematch... ha!
Tim giving Ellie a push on her swing.

Ellie - wanting her Mom :)

Andy - working on his fast pitch.

Excited!

Ready to hit a home run! (That is Sophie, the puppy, with Ryan)

The giggler...

and as i oftentimes complain about my 'money pit' home to others - i've been elated with the flowers this spring...
We have two huge redbud trees that canopy our brick patio.

The Dogwood Tree has to be my favorite.
